Bible Study Helps
BibleWorks 7.0 (version 8 should be similar, I haven't bought it yet)
External links--I've created external links for BibleWorks to allow users to:
- Google, Wikipedia, Jewish Encyclopedia, Dictionary.com, Hyperdictionary any word with a right click.
- On line ESV Study Bible links (verse or chapter)-- A direct link to this awesome online study Bible. You must have an account (free to those who buy the printed version) of the ESV Study Bible for this to work.
- Access translations not available in BibleWorks through Bible Gateway (inclusion here does not mean they are good/recommended translations) for any verse with a right click.
- Amplified Bible
- Today's New International Version (TNIV)
- Contemporary English Version (CEV)
- The Message
- Access expositional teachings in this book of the Bible at objectivegospel.org. Objectivegospel.org has links into monergism.com's vast body of teachings on the individual books of the Bible.
To install it, all you need to do is:
- download this file (right click/save as)
- append the contents of this file onto the end of your Shellexec.txt. (Mine is found in C:\Program Files\BibleWorks 7\init, yours should be similar)
- don't worry about renumbering the links, BibleWorks ignores them and will do it for you.
- start BibleWorks and enjoy! (just right click any word or verse in the display window)
- (optional) edit the external links yourself in the BibleWorks menu "Resources" "Edit External Links" (once you hit OK and yes to save it, your links will be renumbered for you)
